Akshay Kumar lauds government's decision to recruit transgenders in the forces; calls it progressive
On Sunday, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to laud the decision of the government to recruit transgenders into the ranks of assistant commandents.
Retweeting the tweet by IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra, Akshay wrote, "Brilliant news! Now that’s a progressive move by the government in the right direction. I hope rest of the occupations in the country follow suit.”

After the Home Ministry sought suggestions on the recruitment of transgenders in the forces, CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), BSF(Border Security Force) and SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) have agreed to make changes to the regulations.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in the film Laxmmi Bomb which will be releasing on Disney+ Hotstar soon. On the other hand, the actor will resume work in August with the shooting of Bell Bottom. The crew will be flying to the UK to shoot.
