Ananya Panday opens up on getting slim shamed; says she was called a ‘boy' & 'flat screen’

Ananya Panday made her acting debut in the year 2019 with the film Student of the Year 2. In the same year she was also seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. She is currently filming for her first pan-India film titled Liger with Vijay Deverakonda.

In a recent interview with an entertainment portal, the young actress opened up about being slim shamed by people around her and how the comments about her body made her uncomfortable. Ananya said that people used to say that she looked like a boy and called her a flat screen. The actress said that at times such comments hurt as those were the years where you are building self confidence. She said that when someone is pulling you down at the time when you are learning about loving yourself you start doubting yourself.

Ananya further said that she is reaching a point where she is focusing on accepting herself. She said that if that is sorted and becomes her foundation then nothing can hurt her since she will be at peace with herself. While the actress said that self love is an ongoing process, this realization is more important than what anyone else says.

On the work front, Ananya Panday was last seen in Khaali Peeli opposite Ishaan Khatter. She is currently shooting for both Liger and Shakun Batra's untitled next along with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
