Farah Khan gets trolled after a video of her buying mangoes surfaces on social media. Here’s why

Recently a video of choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan buying mangoes was circulated on social media. However, she was trolled for the same. The reason- Khan was seen removing her mask in order to smell the mangoes before purchasing them.

The video surfaced at a time when the number of coronavirus cases in the country are seeing a surge especially in the state of Maharashtra. In the video, Farah Khan is seen buying mangoes from a roadside cart and smells at least three of them before purchasing it. However, the video did not go down well with some who said that she displayed irresponsible behaviour by pulling her mask down.

"The vendor lifted the mango in his hands, handed it over to Farah Khan; she took in her hands and smelled it touching to her nose by pulling the mask down. And she touched so many mangoes and smelled them. Do people really know how the virus is really spreading?," wrote a social media user commenting on the video.

"What's the point of wearing that mask??," another person wrote. "Smelling mangoes don't make sense, whats the pt? stallers shouldn't allow ppl to smell his mangoes, as it is spreading disease and very unhygienic," commented another.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus cases in the country have seen a rise in the past few weeks especially in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others tested positive for the virus in the recent past.
