Cancer Survivour Day: Sonali Bendre recalls her cancer battle journey

Actress Sonali Bendre on Sunday shared a post on her Instagram handle and opened up about her battle with cancer. The post was shared by Sonali on the occasion of Cancer Survivojr Day which happens on the first Sunday of June every year.

Sonali was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in July 2018. On a powerful note, Sonali wrotw, "How time flies... today when I look back, I see strength, I see weakness but most importantly I see the will to not let the C word define how my life will be after it…You create the life you choose. The journey is what you make of it... so remember to take #OneDayAtATime and to #SwitchOnTheSunshine ????☀️♥️#CancerSurvivorsDay."

Sharing the post, Sonali uploaded a series of pictures. One picture was taken before her treatment where she had shaved her head and the other when she fought and recovered from the deadly disease.

After her cancer diagnosis in 2018, Sonali Bendre went to New York for her treatment and returned to Mumbai in December 2018.
