Alia Bhatt pens a line for Sanjay Leela Bhansali; calls him a "Magician"

Alia Bhatt, who is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi, took to Instagram on Monday to commemorate his 25 years in the Hindi film industry. On Instagram, the 28-year-old actress posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself and Sanjay Leela Bhansali from the sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia Bhatt appears in the photo dressed as Ganguabai, her on-screen character.

Alia Bhatt referred to Sanjay Leela Bhansali as a "magician" and toasted "25 years of his magic" in an Instagram post. Alia Bhatt wrote: "25 years of the magician and his magic. Love you sir."

Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first collaboration is Gangubai Kathiawadi. It was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada. The film is partially based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by S Hussain Zaidi. The film was originally scheduled to be released on July 30. The makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi have yet to set a new release date.
