Sharad Kelkar opens up on preparation for his role in Bhuj
Actor Sharad Kelkar who plays a Military Officer Ram Karan "RK" Nair in the movie Bhuj: The Pride of India reveals that he also wanted to be a member of the armed forces. The actor had passed the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam but could not clear the last round of the interview. Sharad expressed that his past preparation for the armed forces helped him in getting into the skin of Military Officer Ram Karan very easily. The actor recalls the time when he was not selected for his dream job in the defense services but said that he led a life of strict schedule and perspective of a defence personnel.
Sharad Kelkar also conducted a lot of research on his character of "RK" Nair in the film. The 44-year-old actor had earlier worked with Ajay Devgn in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Baadshaho and in Bhoomi with Sanjay Dutt along with Bhuj: The Pride of India. The actor reveals that the two superstars are very caring and pampered him a lot with attention and food on the sets. Sharad also opened up that Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt handled him like their younger brother and gave him the luxurious a brother gets.
Bhuj: The Pride of India is a war drama directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and produced by T-Series and Ajay Devgn FFilms telling the tale of the Indo-Pak War of 1971 featuring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Pranitha Subhash, and Ihana Dhillon. The film is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
