Amitabh Bachchan shares a throwback picture of his 49-year-old film 'Bansi Aur Birju'

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture with his wife Jaya Bachchan. The picture is from their first film together Bansi Aur Birju, which was produced by Prakash Verma.

Big B shared a poster picture of the film which was released 49 years ago on September 1, 1970. In the picture, a young Jaya has put her head on handsome Amitabh’s shoulder as they share a hug. He has captioned it, “… our first film together .. ‘Bansi aur Birju ‘ .. released Sept 1, 1970 .. that’s 49 years ago !!!”

Jaya and Amitabh had worked together in several films like, Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Mili, Chupke Chupke, Silsila to name a few. However, Bansi Aur Birju will be a special one as it was their first film together.

On the work front, Amitabh was last seen in Chehre co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Krystle D'Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, and Siddhanth Kapoor. It was produced by Anand Pandit and directed by Rumy Jaffry. He also has Brahmastra and The Intern in the pipeline.
